This project involved adding a additional storey to the existing nine storey office building in central Birmingham.

The initial survey had also identified that the existing lift was coming to the end of its economic life, consequently a decision was taken to include complete replacement of the existing lift as part of the project.

The key feature was the need to work around the existing tenants and minimise the disturbance. This required close co-ordination between all parties. As there was no off road parking adjacent to the building, all deliveries had to be co-ordinated out of hours, to prevent traffic disruption on the busy city centre roads.

The project was successfully completed on time and to budget.
